Christina Hadley launched a private design studio, Christi Studio, over a decade ago. Initially nestled in the heart of Echo Park's foothills, south of Dodgers Stadium, Christi Studio relied on Apple PowerMac computers, 21" monitors, an oversized Epson professional scanner. Technology research and consulting led her to becoming an innovative and informative force in the design and tech sector. Today the studio is situated between the inspirational majestic forests, wild rivers and scenic coast of Southern Oregon.

After Christina completed design and computer graphics post-graduate studies at UCLA, her understanding of the design market was fortified by ongoing study of the latest digital printing advancements. She began designing dye sublimation products on behalf of Sears and other Los Angeles based fashion houses with the help of a cutting edge textile agency. This experience introduced her to the increasing value and popularity of dye sublimation heat transfer imprinting in the fashion and home industry.

Dye-sublimation printing is a digital printing industry technology that uses full color artwork with polyester and polymer-coated substrates. The process itself is commonly used for decorating apparel, signs and banners, as well as novelty items such as cell phone covers, plaques, coffee mugs, and other items with sublimation-friendly surfaces. Through the science of sublimation, in which heat and pressure are applied to a solid, turning it into a gas through an endothermic reaction without passing through the liquid phase, the full color artwork adheres to an assortment of practical surfaces.

As dye sublimation technology advances, Christi Studio's focus is printing meaningful designs on an increasingly wider assortment of recyclable and organic materials.

The studio has witnessed a year-over-year increasing demand for dye sublimation compatible designs. Christi Studio continues to add new services, products, and manufacturing strategies to its product development repertoire. For the sake of logistics and greater command over quality, Christi Studio utilizes American-made products as new dye sublimation options emerge to accommodate increasing demand.
